Our Why

Kindred Hope Connections was born from a simple but powerful belief: When children feel safe, seen, connected, and valued, they are better able to grow, learn, heal, and thrive.

Throughout our years working with children, families, and educators, we recognized that many behaviors often viewed as defiance, laziness, or lack of motivation were actually rooted in unmet needs, stress, trauma, and disconnection. We saw children struggling to regulate emotions, families searching for support, and educators wanting tools to better understand and respond to the children in their care.

We knew there had to be a different way.

Kindred Hope Connections was created to provide trauma-informed, relationship-centered support that helps children, caregivers, educators, and families build stronger connections and healthier relationships.

Grounded in Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), neuroscience, and play-based approaches, our work focuses on helping individuals understand behavior through the lens of connection rather than correction alone.

Our heart extends to all families. Whether you are a biological parent, foster parent, adoptive parent, kinship caregiver, grandparent raising grandchildren, educator, or professional supporting children, you belong here. We understand that every family’s journey is unique, and we believe every child deserves caring adults who are equipped, supported, and encouraged along the way.

We have a special passion for serving foster and adoptive families, recognizing the unique challenges and strengths that often accompany those journeys. Through education, resources, support, and connection, we hope to walk alongside families as they build trust, strengthen relationships, and create environments where children can heal and flourish.

Through play therapy, caregiver support, professional development, family education, and community partnerships, we strive to create spaces where people feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools for lasting growth.

Our mission extends beyond individual services. We envision a community where connection is the foundation of how we support children and families; where educators are equipped with trauma-informed practices; where caregivers feel confident and supported; and where every child knows they have worth, value, and belonging.

At Kindred Hope Connections, we believe healing happens in relationships, growth happens through connection, and lasting change begins when people feel safe enough to be seen. No matter your story, your background, or where you are on your journey, our hope is that you will find support, encouragement, and connection here.
