What We Offer

At Kindred Hope Connections, we offer professional development for educators because we know learning doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens in the context of relationships. Between the two of us, Angie and Ashley bring over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, walking alongside children, families, and educators every day. We’ve seen firsthand how trauma, stress, and unmet needs can show up in classrooms through behavior, regulation challenges, and disconnection—not because children are “misbehaving,” but because they’re communicating. As TBRI practitioners, we believe educators deserve practical, compassionate tools that support both children and themselves. Our trainings are rooted in connection, understanding, and real-life application, helping educators feel confident, supported, and equipped to create classrooms where children feel safe, seen, and ready to learn Below you will find just a small sample of what we offer!

  • Rest & Regulate: A Day for Educators is an adult-only professional development experience designed to help educators slow down, reset their nervous systems, and reconnect to their purpose. Rooted in trauma-informed care and TBRI principles, this day honors the reality of burnout while offering practical tools for regulation, restoration, and sustainable care. This is not about doing more—it’s about recovering capacity.

  • Connection From the Start is a trauma-informed professional development designed for preschool and elementary educators who want to build safe, regulated, and engaged classrooms from the very beginning. Grounded in TBRI® principles, this training helps educators understand the “why” behind behavior and use connection and play to reduce fear, resistance, and power struggles. Participants learn practical, realistic strategies they can use at the start of the year, the day, and every interaction—without sacrificing structure or expectations. The focus is on creating classrooms where both students and educators feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

  • Playing to Learn is a professional development rooted in the understanding that play is how young children build regulation, connection, and essential learning skills. Using a TBRI® lens, this training explores how play naturally supports Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting principles—especially for children impacted by stress or trauma. Participants gain practical strategies for using play to build felt safety, strengthen relationships, and support behavior in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways. This session helps educators reframe play not as a break from learning, but as the foundation of it
